Most service organization have two main conversion points, request for information and donations. I have articles on both, but this episode will deal with the first and undoubtedly easier problem. I believe that the majority of information funnels on your website ultimately lead to a conversion point where you ask the visitor to contact someone. From church events to membership; you want that personal contact to ensure they get all of their questions answered and hopefully move them on to that next step. I will outline the various contact methods, and provide tips on properly presenting each.
- Physical Address
- Phone Number
- E-Mail Address
- Web Form
- Social Media
Action Item: Examine your contact information on your website. Is a link to your Contact Us page visible from any page on your site?. Can you easily locate the information, and does it make sense when you get there? Make sure you provide multiple ways for people to communicate with you, and that you respond back to them in a timely fashion. Finally, track these communications using website analytics so you can show a return on investment for all of your hard effort!
Note: This podcast is heavily based on my previous article "Creating a Great Contact Us Page"
